VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY with the Westside Mobile Food Market

westside marketIf you are a student wanting to learn more about the social enterprise non-profit business model including aspects of food security; local farming costs, ethics, and sustainability; low-income and/or homeless residents living in seemingly wealthy neighbourhoods, and social justice implications around access to food; as well as project planning, promotions, budgets, and accounting – the Westside Mobile Food Market may be the place for you!

A volunteer commitment with the Westside Mobile Food Market can be very flexible to work around students’ busy schedules, and can be anywhere from 10 hours per month and up, depending on the students’ interest and what they want to learn and take away from the project. Certificates of volunteer appreciation will be available for those working 30+ hours on this project, and letters of reference will be available for those working 50+ hours on this project.
