Tyee Elementary students find time for a photo-op in the garden

Calculating the square footage required for one person to grow enough food for one year? All in a days (years) work for students at Tyee Elementary.

Along with growing vegetables in their garden plots, composting organic material, watering, weeding, and thinking about green things, Tyee  students (and their teachers) have been up to all sorts of things.

Talk to a student to determine how you too can make Wild Seed Bombs! Gather some compost, seed and water into a small ball and launch your miniture seed bomb at whatever patch of soil you fancy!  If there is a flower sprouting up in the corners of your neighbourhood, you may have a guerilla gardening Tyee student to thank.
