This report is “based off of the doctoral research of Kathleen Porter and describes why programs that are sponsored by government, universities, non-profits and others are pushing into New York City Public elementary schools and how these programs serve to expand the amount of time that is spent on food and nutrition education.
The report has a user-friendly guide that describes each of the programs available to elementary schools. This guide enables school administrator, teacher and parents to be able to find programs appropriate for their schools. This guide can also be used by food and nutrition education programs to become more familiar with the full range of programs available.”
